| Business & Project Discovery |
Gathering information about about you, your business & your markets is vitally important......that is why we have an in-depth and thorough business & project discovery process.
Business DiscoveryWhether the project is branding, graphic design or website design, our procedures start with a process of discovery. The more we can learn about your business the better we are able to serve and advise you on your options. So this process is about getting to know you, and your business (i.e. company history, the current situation, products/services offered, client/customer demographics, target markets, and your vision for the business). Project DiscoveryProject Discovery is about uncovering and defining how we may be of service. As it is usual for businesses to not know the extent of what is possible, or achievable with current technologies and capabilities, or what is needed for effective branding, and professional business website design / development (and nor should they need to if they are attended to properly), this process needs to look at the business brand assets as a whole. After which the project scope can be defined. For projects that are large, complex, require investigation, or will need a lot of custom programming, it is recommended that a scoping document is produced to help define (at a high level) what is likely to be needed. This document can also provide a high level guide for a website/systems functional specification document (if it is required by the project). Design DiscoveryAt this stage, the design discovery is only in very broad strokes and may include general descriptive statements of look and feel (i.e. professional, classy, etc.), examples of competing businesses and liked designs. A thorough design discovery is performed once the project has stated in earnest. In SummaryThe discovery phase (both Business and Project Discovery) seeks to uncover the issues surrounding the problem areas, and collect all of the information needed to recommend and design a solution that will fully address the problem.
