BackgroundTourism Brochure Exchange (TBE) is South Australia's largest & most visible brochure distribution & display network. They are the leaders in brochure distribution in Adelaide and South Australia. Tourism Brochure Exchange facilitates the efficient, cost effective delivery and servicing of brochures to prime tourism locations within the Adelaide CBD, inner metropolitan suburbs, South East South Australia, and the Great Ocean Road. The demographics of TBE clients spanned the entire tourism industry, from small boutique apartments, to large major events. The BriefTBE had an old and tired website that did not reflect either their standing in the industry or their professionalism. The website did not have a content management system and as a consequence the content was not kept current. In addition, the webiste had not been optimised for search engines and therefore was not ranking well, nor working forn them as an effective marketing tool. Tourism Brochure Exchange wanted a website design that not only reflected their professionalism and standing in the industry, but one that also was different enough to stand out and be in keeping with the servcies they provide. The Solution - Design & FunctionalityThe design theme was around a core asset of Tourism Brochure Exchnage; the exclusive display rack. Each page of the site would appear as different brochures indicating the range and diversity of the industry clients that utilise the services and exclusive display sites provided by Tourism Brochure Exchange. It was suggested that an advanced content management system be implemented that would enable their internal staff to maintain the websiste and add new content, pages and menu items as needed. This would provide both longevity to their site and aide in user attention and retention.
The ResultThe website has provided TBE with a modern and memorable website that explains and promotes their services. The internal staff of TBE have found the content management system both intuitive and easy to use and the site has obtained first page rankings in the major search engines for its keywords and phrases.
